Dried Basil, while there are numerous varieties of the herb available in this country, the most used basil is referred to as "sweet basil". Organic Basil is a member of the Lamiaceae, or mint, family. It is closely related to Organic Marjoram, Organic Mediterranean Oregano, Organic Rubbed Sage, Organic Thyme Leaf, and Organic Cracked Rosemary. We also have conventional Dried Basil available. One teaspoon of dried Organic Basil equals one Tablespoon of fresh basil.
